The OfficeScope Spotlight

OfficeScope Impresses with MASBO and IASBO Presentations: “The paperless presentation was worth the price of admission”

Massachusetts Association of School Business Officials

The paperless school district has merely been an idea for most schools for years, but now it has become a reality. OfficeScope, a cloud-based document management solution created by etfile, presented a series of case studies at the MASBO Annual Trade Show. This provided schools the opportunity to make their paperless dreams a reality.

Presenting alongside OfficeScope were just three of the many customers who had successfully implemented the new processes, including:

  • Jon Roy, Business Administrator at Tri-County MASBO Logo_White BackgroundRegional Vocational Technical School District
  • Greg Zammuto, Director of Finance & Operations at SEEM Collaborative
  • Nena Wall, Personnel Coordinator at Northborough-Southborough Public Schools

Not only did OfficeScope fill the room, but people had to stand because they ran out of seats — a clear indication schools are eager to find a way to go paperless.

The case studies presented, touched on a few areas of how these schools were able to archive over tens of thousands documents from decades of paper. Not only that, they created a paperless HR department by using the AppliTrack integration and a paperless Accounting department using OfficeScope’s solutions.

One attendee said afterwards “The paperless presentation was worth the price of admission.”

Having a variety schools (like Tri-County, SEEM and Northborough-Southborough) share their experience is a big part of helping schools understand what goes into making the transition. The possibilities with electronic document management are endless!

During their Learning Lab presentation at Iowa ASBO, OfficeScope once again impressed schools with their solutions and process to go paperless. Alongside OfficeScope was Ed Chabal, ASBO International Director and Director of Business and Finance for the Iowa Mt. Pleasant School District, who provided insight into his experience with OfficeScope. He said, “Getting started is always the hardest part, but OfficeScope really holds your hand through the process to make you feel comfortable and tailor it to your needs.”

Mt. Pleasant Schools is one of OfficeScope’s most productive users who have created paperless processes for:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Personnel Records20160330_120225
  • District Board Meeting Minutes
  • Student Files
  • Medical Files
  • Business Office Reports
  • Student Records

… And the list is growing

Having Ed’s testimonial during the presentation was able to give attendees another perspective on how the solution increases efficiency and decreases expenses — it’s not a myth!

With the growing need to file, search and find documents, OfficeScope looks forward to educating the educators on a whole new subject.
